2007 Colt by Mackies Image out of MV Fashionette.
This wonderful colt has been SOLD!
Congratulations to DeFarwa Arabians of Loma Rica, CA!
July 09 - The picture to the left is Liberty taken recently. He is now 27 months old. He is GORGEOUS, if you ask me!
Sadly, I must report that this wonderful young stallion, lost his life to a tragic accident on Feb. 5, 2010. It is a BIG loss to our beloved breed, let alone to DeFarwa Arabians and to Van Gilder Arabians. We had such HIGH hopes for this horse. Fortunately, he will leave behind one foal, which is due very soon.

MACKNIFICENT August 2008 Photo by Anne Blount (above)
Just received some wonderful photos of Mack from Anne Blount. Mack looks very lovely in them so hopefully you can see some.
Mack is doing well, he has started cantering under saddle and tries very hard to do what is asked, most of the time. I've ridden him several times and generally he is a perfect angel. We did have a bolting incident the other day, with him even taking a small jump before I could gain control, typical four year old. He is extremely sensitive and athletic.
He does love being worked and is still his friendly, affectionate, playful and very inquisitive self. It is soooo nice having a horse that has no vices like kicking or biting, gets along well with other horses, likes people and has no food based aggression. Thank you for raising such a nice horse!
Regards,
Alix

Subject: Late Winter Fashions
Well, we went to Tonasket and did our first really hard conditioning rides this weekend. I may not be able to walk tomorrow! We rode 3 hours in knee deep snow yesterday. I think Fashion thought about putting on an early show but the deep snow took it right out of her…she worked her tooshie off getting through that snow. We only walked but they were blowing and soaking wet the whole time. Sunriver will feel like a walk in the park :-)

CONGRATULATIONS to Rusty Toth of Scottsdale, AZ.
Rusty reports,
I have only wonderful things to report about (Mystery)Rocky. He has been under saddlefor a month now and doing exceptionally well. Roper the trainer has fallen in love, as have Kevin and I. He is such a level headed guy and learns quickly. Kevin and Roper with a few others went for a trail ride in the parktoday - Rocky's first group trailing experience - and all reports arewonderful. He likes to lead, was great with the bikes. He is the easiest keeper - looks at food and gains weight.
Rusty Reports 1/28/07 I just wanted to let you know, Rocky continues to amaze me! We have beentrail riding and I am always amazed with his must go attitude; he can simplyout walk all the other horses even with his small stature. I am even moreblown away when we climb - he just chews up the hills, sure-footed, powerful and eager. I am wondering if Mighty Mouse would not have been more appropriate for him... Rocky also fit him just fine. Don't know if you remember the movie or not but when we get to the top of a hill I fell likethe scene after Rocky runs to the top of the stairs, jogs in place arms high - total accomplishment and satisfaction. He is so much fun! He is a joy to be around both on the ground and in the saddle, a real pocket pony.

One word describes Dream Makker, BEAUTIFUL. He is a marvelous mover with a gentle, kind disposition.
Dream Makker's new home is with Kevin Myers of Scottsdale, AZ.
Congratulations Kevin for the purchase of this fine young gelding. We wish
you and "Diego" the very best!
Kevin says " I just wanted to let you know how well
Diego (sometimes Diggy) is settling into his new surroundings. We take
regular walks out into the desert, where he inspects signs, the countless
forms of cactus; realtor signs; trucks; other horses; construction sites;
spiky branches and anything else we can find to expose him to! He, of
course, does it all with that calm, ironic look in his eye wondering why we
are so impressed with him! What a kind soul he is - and so loving.
He is leading and trotting out real nice on the trail; and he is a pro at
picking up his feet and joining up in the round pen. He understands the
whole easy boot process, and is growing at an amazing rate!"

Fred called us at home one night and said he had the perfect horse for Charles. Fred had nothing but wonderful things to say about Camelot. We were only casually looking for another horse--we had just moved up to the Sierra foothills and were planning on starting to build our house. We had a small rental house with no more room for an additional horse. Fred graciously volunteered a space at his place, just a short distance away. The horse was trailered down to the ranch and Fred called us when he arrived. We drove to Fred's and our eyes focused on this giant, sweet tempered boy. Cam quietly walked over to the corral fence and put his head right in my husband's arms. He fell in love instantly. A few days later, we took him to the vet's for his pre-purchase exam. The vet remarked that this horse was so quiet and easy to work with that his practice would be ideal if he had horses like this to work on all day long.
